On Saturday, I went with the homie Jess over to Taqueria El Tuzo. Well, more accurately, I drove past it and then got back on Google Maps to figure out where it was again, and Jess pointed out that it was probably inside the laundromat. It smelled clean and delicious inside.
Pretty standard fare for a small time taqueria — generous portions, flavor pretty decent, and a friendly taquero working as cook, cashier, and bringing the food to the table instead of handing it over the counter. Little things like that stand out in my memory. Jess’s torta was massive! The pastor was a little light on seasoning but had plenty of caramelized bits and made a great host for the hot and sour salsa.
