Birrieria & Taqueria Cortez is one of two local trucks that sprang up and into popularity recently in Fort Worth. Even just after opening for the day, they quickly gathered a full line of cars waiting for tacos.
They were really, really good. Almost like mini quesadillas, the tacos were pliable and filled with cheese and beef. They were savory, beefy, rich, and creamy from the cheese. The consommé was rich, complex, and well-seasoned. I almost didn’t mind the juices and grease spilling out onto my shirt and seatbelt.
Definitely worth a visit, just make sure you have napkins or wet wipes on your visit.
