Last spring, I spent some time traveling in Las Vegas and the San Francisco Bay Area and neglected to post those experiences until now.

Tacos Del Julio is a visually vibey patio spot on the strip in Las Vegas, and it caught my eye while walking around. They had a modest line of customers and a nice looking seating area.

I normally love a good pastor or trompo taco, but instead of earthly spices the flavor profile on this was disconcertingly like the smell of old, musty tires. The pico de gallo offered a good attempt to mask that flavor, but at the end of the day it wasn’t a very good meal.
